About Soul Perception Photography

I’m a photographer passionate about capturing the beauty and essence of people, revealing their true selves through my lens. Whether it’s a portrait session or an event, I aim to feel and convey the unique stories I see, creating meaningful memories or valuable visual assets for those I work with. My business name, Soul Perception Photography, reflects this passion for authentically capturing and sharing these elements.

Based on the south coast of England, I’m perfectly positioned between Portsmouth, Southampton, and close to Winchester. With the New Forest and South Downs National Parks nearby, along with stunning rivers, beaches, and rolling countryside, I have access to breathtaking natural backdrops ideal for location shoots.

My journey in photography began at a young age, inspired by my father’s own interest. I started by peering through his viewfinder and pressing the shutter, and soon he gifted me my first camera. Through trial and error, I taught myself the craft before pursuing formal studies at college.

Starting out, I photographed local bands, music venues, and contributed to music publications. This led to opportunities to shoot friends’ weddings, helping me build a portfolio and develop a reputation for capturing beautiful, heartfelt moments. I’m forever grateful for this chapter, as it honed my ability to anticipate key moments—a skill that’s been invaluable in my event photography.

In 2024, I chose to focus solely on events and portraits, expanding into corporate photography. I now work with gyms, yoga studios, barber shops, small businesses, and individuals, creating dynamic images that enhance their marketing efforts.

Portrait photography has always been at the heart of my passion. Capturing an individual’s essence—their soul—and sharing that with them brings me immense joy. This connection is what makes working with me a unique and personal experience.

When I’m not behind the camera professionally, I find peace in nature, capturing fleeting moments that inspire me and allow me to unwind.
